Its great to hear Elvis's voice only on some tracks but this one isn't for me. The backing by the jordanaires is soo cool on this track ,

yes i agree with you.

But, it's still fascinating to hear an undubbed mix on pre-70's tracks.

Hows this for a future comp?

Good work here.

A couple of days ago i suggested for David to do this and also I Will Be Home Again because certain sections of these two, Elvis is drowned out by the Jordanaires and other singers. I'm pleased to see and hear that David's come through with the sacred "He Knows Just What I Need"...

This one is interesting. What's wrong with EP here (boredom, ill health, medications, all the above)?
(Santa shenanigans, Mickey Mouse Ears and March, and the turning of his collar up during Little Darlin — unsteadiness, etc. ???
Notice Hodge playing along at the end of that Little Darlin' clip too.)

The quality has been cleaned up, but it just makes it clearer that our hero is not entirely well.

Simply having fun, it was the closing show and happened to be on April 1st.

Someone gave him mickey mouse ears and Elvis sung the mickey mouse march in return. Colonel parker came onto stage as Santa, not sure if that was planned.

Little Darlin' was always used as a song to just have fun with.

The upscaling is actually not that great as it adds artifacts.

It looks like something more than just having fun to me. He seems very tired and slow in his movements too.
(If I had attended this show as a kid, I am sure I would I have loved it smt200 , but . . . now ?? Something is amiss and there is too much horsing around smt179 .)

I just noticed, at the very end of the clip, he looks right at the camera.

He also looks exhausted.

yes Elvis looks tired and bloated by this last engagement show... in footage from much earlier in the engagement he looks better.

But also the artifacts from the upscaling dont help making it look worse. This is from the unaltered footage same moment

Hi Johnny2523,
I understand and get your point regarding the artifacts, but he still looks tired to me (and the artifacts got nothing to do with his behavior and his body movements, etc.)

The man looks and behaves . . . unwell, to me.

(January '75, 40th birthday / depression / spending spree(s) / drug OD and consequent beginning of hospitalization through early February / Vernon suffers heart attack / installation of full-time nurse for EP / March "Star Is Born" offer / April, spending spree continues / later on that year plastic surgery / etc. My remarks are also made in the context of this background.)
